Pricing
Pricing for a mural is dependent on a couple of factors and an exact price will only be provided once an exact design is agree upon. For your budgeting purposes, an estimated range can be given for planning, but that is based on site unseen and unknown imagery.
For rough estimates and budgetary planning, these are categories to help:
OPTION A: FULL DETAIL – $80/sq ft. This includes details such as wrinkles, individual hairs, and glints of light in eyes.
OPTION B: MEDIUM DETAIL – $60/sq ft. This includes lighting and shadow work for less complicated images. Not as high fidelity in hairs or texture.
OPTION C: SIMPLIFIED – $50/sq ft. This is predominantly cartoon character or large color block in work.
I will work up front with your budget to help prioritize which elements can leverage the full details and lesser elements for medium or simplified to make a piece more affordable. In other words, we can mix Options A, B, and C within one mural based on the respective sub-elements square footage. If more details are desired after our accurate cost is determined and approved, we can discuss either elevating to the next pricing option (i.e. upgrade a portion to the next Option level) or charge $90/hr for the additional work.
Ultimately the total cost of a mural will depend upon a couple of things and will be discussed and openly shared with you: wall preparation cost, support equipment, material costs, clean-up costs, labor, and travel.
Children’s Library Mural

A 10′ tall by 27′ wide library wall re-painted to showcase children’s book characters and community events. Incorporated the flow of existing bookshelves into the design so that characters interact with the furniture to give an immersive asthethic.

Downtown Leonardtown Outdoor Event/Movie Space

A 20′ tall by 60′ wide storage building re-painted to showcase outdoor movies and community events. Incorporated elements of the local community while also reimagining themes to reinvigorate the downtown.

Brudergarden Outdoor Area

A 15′ tall by 30′ fun infusion of the building’s door and window ways to combine elements of the local community and of the beer garden/restaurant (pretzels and beer!)
